Highlands crash crew figures out accidents

Highlands Regional Crash Team

Jon Holbrook uses a Nikon survey like system to plot points and elevations of an accident scene.  Jon Holbrook is a member of the Abingdon Police Department and a member of the Highlands Regional Crash Team with other members of the Bristol Virginia Police Department.  The team responds to accidents and uses equipment to recreate the scene in a computer and try to come up with reasons for the accident.

Barn Makeover at Emory

Several barns just off Interstate 81 in Emory, Virginia are getting a makeover.  Wallace Brothers Construction is scraping and repairing and painting the barns white with Green Roofs.  Allen Cadle was using a beach umbrella to block some of the hot sunny rays of the sun off while he spray painted the green roof.

Old Bluff City City Hall gets new life

Inside the old Bluff City City Hall meeting room.  Sherry Grubb Photography recently bought the old building at auction and plans to remodel into a photography studio.  Grubb hopes that the new business will spur downtown growth in Bluff City where she grew up.

Send The Light moved from Elizabethton, Tennessee to Bristol, Tennessee over the Memorial Day Weekend.  They did not miss any shipments during the move.  205 18 wheeler trucks moved the merchandise in the 90 hour move.
