Crews were at work Thursday tearing down the former South Beach night club on Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, Tenn. South Beach was closed some two years ago and many in the Bristol community viewed the crumbling, vacant building as a local eyesore. In recent years, the club drew controversy for being repeatedly cited for serving alcohol to under-age customers. Bristol city officials said no decisions have been made on the site’s future use.
