Bristol Motor Speedway Children's Charities Night of Smiles

Clauda Byrd, Executive Director Speedway Children's Charities Bristol Motor Speedway, applauds as the total amount raised to be given to local charities was $1,002,380.  The Night of Smiles is held to give out the money raised over the year to organizations who have a direct impact on children in the community.

BEE-zy day for butterflies and bees in Sunflower patch

Jungle Book Ballet Camp for kids

Euclid Avenue starting a rebuild

W-L Construction and Paving, left,  has begun work on Eulic Avenue from Commonwealth Ave. to Carter Street.  Expect delays going in all directions over the next days.





Work is beginning on the inside of the new Badcock Home Furniture & More store that is in the old Piggly Wiggly on Euclid Ave.

J David Gillespie is a stone cutter from South Carolina. This year at the Abingdon Highlands Festival he is cutting an image of Dr. Thomas Walker in marble. Between 1748 and 1750, Dr. Thomas Walker surveyed the land where the town of Abingdon is situated.
