This donkey was spotted along Highway 126 in Bristol, Tennessee on Monday morning.  The Bledsoe and Cress family have taken up the care and search for the donkey's family.

Emmett Elementary wins Gov. Recycling Award

Members of the Emmett Elementary School Tree Huggers Club Sophie Johnson, Abby Johnson, Luke Singleton, Emily Childress and Clayton Carr as shown in the school garden with the Governor's Environmental Stewardship Award.  The 4th. and 5th. graders have started a full recycling program in the school as well as a garden for the schools usage.

Robert Deel, left, watches as his brother Richard Deel takes a caught trout off his hook after catching it on the new Barrier Free fishing area on Big Tumbling Creek on Wednesday.  The new area is located in the Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area outside Saltville, Virginia.  Deel broke his neck at age 15 and still is able to hunt and fish in the area.

Steele Creek Nature Center Update

Steele Creek Nature Center Update

Work has begun on the new expanded Nature Center at Steele Creek Park.  The new elevator shaft is shown and the plumbing and electrical are being installed as well.  The building is on schedule for December finish but the interior will be some time after that.
