Farm Tours in Sullivan County

Deborah Doan shears a sheep during the Educational Farm Tours. All 2nd grade students in Sullivan County are expected to attend the living exhibits from beef, dairy, grains, wood products, sheep, pigs, chickens, cotton, etc. at the Newland Farm in Kingsport. The tours have continued for over 20 yrs. at various locations in the county.

This bee is collecting pollen off these flowers in Abingdon,Va on Tuesday. The warm weather has caused many flowers and trees to release pollen which is a sign of spring. This also causes allergies and lots of car washing.

TriCities Airport Bird solution

Mayor Awards Sunday

Bristol Mayors' award of distinction went to Terri Morphew, center, and Catherine DeCaterina, right. Morphew's daughter is left, Mallory. They accepted the award for Earl Morphew, an emergency worker, who was killed earlier this year while helping out at an accident on Interstate 81 where he was hit by a van.

Wet day for Softball practice

A reflection of the day on the softball field at Sugar Hollow for Jimmy Dillard. Dillard was practicing with other members of the City of Bristol Softball team during the windy cold day on Tuesday. The recent rains made for some wet playing as well.
