Moe was 61 yrs. old when he died in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He was also a favorite of the Elizabethton Twins baseball team. Every game he would run around the bases in the 7th. inning and stop on third base and shake his fist at the visitors. During the celebration of life held at the stadium he made the round of the bases one last time.This photo was Honorable Mention in the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association POY in 2007.
