Evan Mann, Troop 15, Dan Perry, Troop 10, and Brondan Smith, Troop 15, place a worn American Flag on a fire as part of the flag code to retire flags that are not worthy to be flown. The Overmountain District Boy Scouts from the area hold this ceremony every year to kick off Scout Week. Troops 10,15 and 3 along with Pack 10 and 121 participated in the event.
